Jasmine delivered a paper presentation based on her study titled "From Stress Mindsets to Adolescent Internalizing Problems: Teacher Support Matters" at NASP in Chicago.

Shannon presented a poster titled "Relations between Stress Mindset, Social Support, and Positive Behavior Outcome" and Cabi presented another on "Relations between Parental Beliefs and Strength-Based Parenting" at NASP in Chicago.

Dr. J presented a poster on behalf of Rahma and Dr. Jay Tarnoff titled "Growth Mindset and Coping: Predicting Mental Health and Learning in Neurodiverse Adolescents." She also presented another study called "Stress, support, strengths, mental health, and stress-related growth among adolescents."

Jasmine is awarded Association of School Psychologists of Pennsylvania (ASPP) Student Research Grant for 2024-2025 school year. She will conduct a study titled “Understanding adolescents’ responses to social exclusion: Unpacking the role of stress mindset, attribution, emotion, and thought processes" using an experimental method.

Jasmine presented her study titled "Stress mindsets and mental health: An examination of the mediating role of personal growth initiative" in the symposium which Dr. Jiang chaired and included three other studies presented by research teams from University of Maryland.

Dr. Jiang and co-PI Dr. Fu at The Hong KongPolytechnic University, Hong Kong are awarded the CARE EVERYWHERE grant initiated by the International Society for the Study of Behavioral Development (ISSBD), supported by the Templeton World Charity Foundation, to conduct a mixed method study titled "Socio-cultural pathways to kindness cultivation among Thai adolescents in the context of parental migration." The grant aims to advance the understanding and nourish the development of character strengths globally. Rahma presented a poster titled "Examining Social Support, Growth Mindset, and Adolescent Development During COVID-19 Using Structural Models." She further elaborated a related study titled "Adolescent dual factor mental health: The role of growth mindset, stress, and gender"" in a paper presentation at the 2025 American Education Research Association Annual Convention.

Three lab members had poster presentations: "Social Support and Growth Mindset in Adolescent Mental Health" (Rahma), "The relations between social support and stress mindset in adolescents" (Jasmine), and "A Systematic Review on Acculturation Scales for Children and Adolescents in the United States" (Cabi)

Dr. Jiang presented a study in a symposium titled "Narratives of Strength: Coping, Civic Agency, and Resilience in Adolescents" at 2024 APA annual convention, Division 16 with other researchers from the University of Maryland and San Francisco State University.

Rahma presented a poster called "Adolescent Life Satisfaction: Growth Mindsets, Cognitive Reappraisal, and Stress Amidst COVID-19" based on her summer fellowship research study at 2024 APA annual convention, Division 16. Dr. J also mentored and co-authored another student poster along with Dr. Mueller at the University of Memphis. This poster titled "Identification with school and COVID-related stress: Buffering effects for minority youth" won the best Student Poster Award.

Dr. Jiang published a commentary "Positive Psychology and Strengths-Based Interventions (SBIs): Implications for Uses with Special Student Populations" with her colleagues, who all served as guest editors of a special issue for Education Science

Dr. Jiang is awarded Loretta C. Duckworth Scholars Studio Faculty Research Fellowship by Temple University for 2024-2025 school year. She will study “How do Parents Shape Children’s Social-emotional Mindsets Through Daily Interactions in Moments of Stress?”
